DropdownMenu
For the purposes of screen readers on the web, the term “menu (opens in a new tab)” refers to a group of actions that are to be performed on the current page (i.e. it is not navigation (opens in a new tab)). A DropdownMenu is a context menu that groups multiple menu items (opens in a new tab) behind an expandable button to save screen space.
Note that though menus can’t be used for navigation, some actions are allowed to trigger navigation events as a side effect (for example, if a menu item created a new resource, it would be reasonable to navigate the user to the new resource after it’s been created).
